• Interned at the boutique PR firm specializing in entertainment and lifestyle during the summer of 2011 before senior year.

• Clients included Chad Rogers (Million Dollar Listing), Frances Shultz (Veranda EIC, author), interior designer to-the-stars, Vanessa De Leon, and LA-based interior design studios, Interior Illusions.

• Monitored for media hits and mentions of clients, created press kits, and managed all social media channels, including posting, fan engagement and community management, for clients.

• Consumer PR intern on the Unilever account, the largest of the Chicago-based office. Projects included:

  • Planning Oreo's first Pride Month celebration event in Times Square.

  • Helping secure partnerships with Heidi Klum, Elle Varner, and Trey Songz, as well as social media strategies for the launch of Clear Hair & Scalp Therapy.

  • Managing all social media channels, including reporting and creative concept pitching, for Troy Polamalu, Head & Shoulders, Campbell's, Oreo, Clear, Degree, Erin Andrews, and other accounts under the Unilever umbrella.

• Can't lie - from the sweeping lake views from the two-story office in the Hancock to the big-name accounts I worked on, I was in constant awe while here. I had also begun to feel like I was in the "real world" now and I'd better not f*** this up. 

• Angelenos might recognize this office building that borders Beverly Hills on the end of the Sunset Strip. It was home to many production companies, including Leo's, and neighbors hot-spot, BOA, so I was constantly running into celebrities. Although I always played it cool, this was a very exciting time for me and an experience much different than what I would soon be returning to.

BRAS FOR A CAUSE

• Annual fashion show and gala to raise funds for breast cancer research and to help women and families affected by the disease.

• Local businesses, schools, politicians, and organizations pay to design a bra which is then modeled by men in the fashion show.

Although this is a local event/organization, it takes place around the holidays so if I'm "home" I still volunteer.
